I have one to share. It took place in April of 2005 during the Triumph RAT rally in Prescott, Arizona! Riders from all over the country gathered for the week's events which included planned rides on Saturday. I rode an '04 Sprint RS and decided to join a group of Speed Triples and the like for the Sedona loop. We carved up Hwy 89A and made a pit stop in downtown Jerome (an old mining town). Next thing I knew (not paying attention), the group was on the way to Sedona. A guy from CO (speed triple) and I were fumbling for our helmets in pursuit! We were about to burn down the hill but a car in front of us stopped on the single lane to exit!

Once traffic began to move again, The Sprint and Speed Triple bolted, raced around a hairpin curve and hit a mountain straightaway doing 80 (35 mph posted). The RS was hot as she banked into the next hairpin...then I looked up and saw a Cop! DAMN! (Wise old biker saying...when the game's over, pull it over). As we pulled off the road, the officer's car rolled in front of us, parked, walked to me (lead bike) and said, "What the Hell are you doing, that's criminal speed!" He took our license and insurance cards and got on the radio. I couldn't believe this mess...the fine, impounded bike, revoked license...what else??? Afterward, the Cop walked back to me and said, "You know, I used to ride a Triumph." :D

Nice outcome! I was expecting him to throw the book at you.

Blessed are those eyes that have seen more roads than any man! (Homer).
